Dear Clients, Students, Friends and Unicorn,

Welcome to our February newsletter and gee whiz do we have some news to share with you all! We hope that this reaches you well and that your month has been a sparkly one so far.

Our exciting news for this month and announcements:

• New Venue Opening Weekend & Half Price Taster Classes

3rd March 2pm-9pm

We are SO EXCITED to announce the opening of our second venue. We will be hosting our long awaited Aerial Sling classes here, as well as Aerial Silks and Aerial Hoop classes. All based in the new Crawley Parkour gym ‘Traversal’.

To celebrate the opening of our incredible second venue, we at CAW Fitness are hosting half price taster classes for those who are absolute beginners, have no fitness background, current students or for those who would like to spend their weekend flying with us. With a holistic approach, we at CAW Fitness allow every individual to gain confidence, fitness, wellbeing and we encourage every person who walks through our doors to let their light shine.

** Saturday 3rd March**

2:00-2:30pm Opening of our second venue at Traversal Gym, Ifield

2:45-3:45pm Beginners Aerial Sling Taster Class

Please note that booking is essential as all of our classes are kept small so we can focus on every individual.

Taster classes only £7.50 ( normally around £15)

All of our instructors are fully qualified, insured, first aid trained and are either fitness or dance professionals.

• Latest Instructor News

At CAW Fitness we are very passionate about creating a community vibe amongst our students and instructors. At CAW Fitness we are all a family and we adore watching our family grow, students and instructors.

Congratulations to our Unicorn Instructors Kirsty Selby, Kirsty Seymour and Jade Tracey for passing their instructor training in various disciplines such as Aerial Hoop, Silks and Pole Fitness.

We are so excited and warmly welcome our newest Trainee Unicorn Instructor, Grace Fisher, to our humble team. Grace will be training up as an instructor in Pole Fitness as well as other disciplines and will be seen covering and hosting Classique & Flow classes in May. We are so excited to have you Grace!

We are also super excited to welcome Unicorn Instructor Katie Finch to our humble team. Katie will be teaching regular Yoga classes from March 22nd on a Thursday evening in our CAW Fitness Headquarters. Katie also can be seen assisting us in our Little Flyers Classes and is also going to be implementing Baby Yoga Classes at a later date.

• Wellness Evening 22nd March

Join us for an evening of Wellbeing, Mindfulness and a chance to focus on YOU.

Consisting of multiple workshops which focus on the self, fitness, lifestyle and your personal wellbeing. You can either join us for the entire evening or book on for individual workshops.

*6:15-7:15pm Wellness Vinyasa Yoga*

Taught by our Unicorn Instructor Katie, this class is a fitness style of yoga with smooth transitions and poses, whilst focusing on specific aspects that allow you to enjoy a full body workout with a low impact. Suitable for those who already participate in fitness and want something to compliment their current training, or a chance to focus on the self.

*7:30-8:30pm Thai Massage Workshop*

Learn basic massage techniques to help release tension when at home. This workshop incorporates a partner assisted full body massage for every person, all led by our Unicorn Instructor and fully qualified spa therapist, Nikki Fenton.

*8:45-9:45pm Wellness Slow Yoga & Meditation*

Lower impact, this workshop is perfect for those new to fitness, yoga or those suffering from minor injuries and want something lower impact to focus on the self. This class hosted by Unicorn Instructor Katie, adopts a very gentle approach to yoga with mindfulness and meditation to end the session.

Booking is essential prior to each class. Try each workshop for £10.00 or do 2x sessions of your choice for £15.00.


• New Classes and Changes to Our Timetable

With the excitement of venue two opening, more hours available to implement more classes, we are so excited to be adding our newest classes to the timetable.

Aerial Sling Fitness Class

Our long awaited Aerial classes are now up on the timetable. Your space can be booked via our online booking system and is even included within our memberships as an ‘Aerial Fitness Class’

When & where:

All Aerial Sling classes are hosted in our newest venue in Ifield, Traversal Gym.

Thursday evenings 18:45-19:45pm (starting 29th March)

Saturday Afternoons 13:15-14:15pm (starting 24th March)

Intermediate Aerial Hoop

For those students who are ready to step it up a notch and take their training to the next level. This class is an invite only class and we shall be sending out invitations over the next coming weeks.

When & where:

Traversal Gym, Ifield

Tuesday evenings 18:15-7:15pm (starting 13th March)

Beginners Hoop

Perfect for those that are new to fitness or are working on their Aerial Hoop journey with us. This class is perfect for those who are still exploring and discovering the fun that is Aerial Hoop!

When & where:

The CAW Fitness Studio

Tuesday evenings 18:15-19:15pm (starting 13th March)

Vinyasa Yoga

Hosted and run by our unicorn instructor Katie, these classes will be split up into a ‘strong’ and ‘slow’ Vinyasa Yoga. More information will be announced on these classes very soon. Perfect for those who are wanting to refocus and slow down in their fitness training or day to day lifestyle.

Thursday evenings 19:30-20:30pm & 20:45-21:45pm (starting 29th March)

Little Intermediate Flyers

For those Flyers who are ready to step it up a notch and take their training to the next level. This class is an invite only class and we shall be sending out invitations over the next coming weeks.

The CAW Fitness Studio

Saturday mornings 11:45-12:45pm (starting 24st March)

Intermediate/ Advanced Pole, Beginners Pole Fitness and Bend and Balance on Saturdays

Our current Saturday timetable is changing! Our Beginners Pole Fitness class will be hosted at a slightly later time and in an order that suits many more of our students schedules.

CAW Fitness’s exciting and latest news: 

We welcome you all to our newest online booking system Team Up. We are hoping that this system is clearer and easier for you to use, whilst keeping track of payments and having easy access to CAW Fitness’s latest adventures. Links to our classes can be found on every page of our website. Or alternately save us as a bookmark or on your home screen for instant access. �� 

Please see below for a step by step guide on how to book on for classes, accept your invitations and access our classes plus much more. 

-All customer information has been transferred over from MINDBODY our previous system and all current clients that were midway through a membership or had passes for classes left on their account have been issued an invite email. If you have not received yours, please do check your junk box too! If not we can resend it to you. 

-Any pre scheduled and pre booked classes for 2018 have been added onto our calendar and scheduled via our new Team Up system. You should be able to see your schedule under ‘my bookings’ section on your drop down menu. 

-Please do add your contact details, emergency contact and sign our online liability waiver when you get a chance. These are all required when attending fitness classes with us at CAW Fitness. These can be found in the ‘forms and waivers section’ on your dashboard. 

-Access to our schedule for classes and to book on for classes can be accessed under the ‘schedule’ tab.

  • Some of our Packages and pricing are changing for 2018 in prep for bigger and more fun happenings �� 

We have made some exciting and more flexible changes to our packages that we offer to our clients. Full information is accessible on our website Under the ‘pricing and memberships’ section.

Some of the more flexible options in our pricing include: 

10x Little Flyers Classes for just £60 (last 4 months from purchase date) 

We have made access to our Fitness & Wellbeing Classes more flexible for those who are on Butterfly Packages or our Majestic Unicorn Package. Meaning you have more choice on if you use your passes on more fitness classes, or you can allocate any of those passes to a practice session. This is so those who do not attend practice sessions, do not loose out on what they were originally paying for and can use those passes on Fitness classes instead! 

We have more exciting Fitness & Wellbeing classes being added to the timetable for 2018. We cannot wait to share with you all what these just might be! 

Our practice sessions have gone up from £5 to £8 per session, unless you are a member, in which case sessions are included within memberships. This is due to insurance purposes. 

Our Bend & Balance classes have gone up to from £5 to £8 per session pay as you go. With new classes (and even gym access) on the cards for the very near future, we are planning on adding a ‘bulk fitness & wellbeing’ class pack option, to aid in better pricing and continuity for you 


*New Events for 2018* 

  •  Aerial Sling Master Classes   

Want to try a taster of our newest class due to be on our timetable from March 2018? Combining Aerial Yoga and Silks techniques on a hammock aka ‘sling’, this Master class will allow you to learn tricks and transitions whilst spinning in the air.  

27th January 2018  

Session one 3:00-4:00pm 

Session two 4:00-5:00pm 

£15.00 per person 

To secure your spot, please ensure that you book via our online system. We cannot wait to have you fly with us! 

  • Venue number 2 (ParCAW, Ifield) is on its way!  

Hooray! Planning permission/ change of use has been accepted. We are so excited to be starting work on our second venue in January 2018. Here we will be hosting Aerial Sling classes, Aerial Hoop Beginners & Intermediate classes, Silks and much more. New Aerial disciplines are on their way! We absolutely cannot wait. We will be posting teasers as work commences to keep you all in the loop.  

  • Open Weekend and taster Classes, March 2018 

We will be hosting an open weekend filled with half price classes during March 2018. Know someone who has wanted to give it a go, but doesn't know where to start? Taster classes are catered for absolute beginners, where everyone is welcomed and encouraged to try something new. We are here to celebrate YOU!  

  • New Fitness & Wellbeing classes are coming soon to our timetable 

We have some fantastic new Fitness & Wellbeing classes coming… including yoga and meditation, OCR and conditioning classes, plus many more. All to be revealed in 2018

Welcome to the CAW Fitness blog!

Isn't this all very exciting, so first of all welcome to the CAW Fitness website, we hope that you have found all you are looking for and all the information needed to help you on your CAW journey. Check back here regularly to see updates, interesting facts about our beautiful instructors and events that are happening in the future.

We have some very exciting things coming up, be sure to check out our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages too, where you can also see updates and pictures of our gorgeous unicorns flourishing!

So to start off our brand new blog, please welcome our stunning mother unicorn Tamara.

Tamara is owner and lead instructor at the CAW Fitness studio, Tamara is qualified with a BA Hons in Musical Theatre, Level 3 Diploma in Special Needs Childcare, a qualified Pole Fitness, Aerial Hoops and Aerial Yoga instructor, Beginners Silks, trapeze and Cord Lisse instructor, as well as holding an Exercise to Music qualification and Level 2 in Nutrition.

Is there no end to her skills? As well as all of this she also offers out nutrition and lifestyle advice and inspires her students everyday with her positivity and laughter that is infectious, she has created a safe environment where students can be themselves doing what they love to do! To add even more to this she is a childrens entertainer and plays various characters such as princesses, fairies, superheroes and pirates at the weekends! How fun!!

So of course we would love to know an interesting fact about her, wouldn't we?

So here it is, Tamara is actually a natural blonde somewhere underneath all the flowing red hair!
